Exclusive test day for registered competitors

NewsPosted on 24th February 2016

We are delighted to announce that, for the first time ever, we are running a pre-season test day. Specifically organised for those who are intending to join us this year, the day is a great opportunity to find out what Time Attack is all about and, if you have never taken part in the championship before to meet the organising team and shake-down your car before the season gets underway.

Date: Thursday 24th March 2016 (the day before Good Friday)

Venue: Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire

Cost: Free*

*The event is free of charge to enter for all drivers who have signed-up and paid for championship entry by that date, either as a full-season or single-round-entry for any one of the six rounds.

Pirelli will be on hand with a tyre truck, so if you wish to pre-order tyres before the test, you will be able to collect them on the day and have them fitted too – FOC. They will also be offering technical support to help everyone get up to speed on the new rubber. However, you don’t have to run Pirelli tyres on the day if you don’t want to.

Also on hand will be our chief scrutineer, so if you have any queries about the specification of your car, you can get things checked out well in advance of the first round. Plus, we are aiming to have the championship sticker packs available for collection.

If you would like someone else to drive your car during the test, then please let us know. You may also use a different car if your competition car isn’t ready. Alternatively, you can just come along and say hello even if you’re not intending to take part in the test.

During the course of the day we will be holding an informal drivers/teams meeting, when we will tell you more about our plans for the year ahead and where you will have the chance find to raise any questions you have about the championship.

Although the day will be spilt into sessions, an open pit lane system will be used.

Timing

Remote lap timing will available to drivers who hold a 2016 MSA Race National B competition licence – or higher grade. If you don’t hold a licence at this level, then you will not be able to time your laps during the test. This is a track regulation.

If you wish to utilise the timing facility, you will be required to fit a TSL transponder (as used for Time Attack events). Timing must be booked via us in advance (no later than four days before the event) and there will be a small charge. Please contact us for further details.

If you would like to join us for what promises to be an excellent prelude to the season ahead, then please download, fill in and email the entry form below to: [email protected]

See you there!
