Well after a brilliant time at Donington despite a few little issues, I have been busy pestering Mr Barnes for a place in the remaining rounds. Thanks again Rob :D

The Taisan is a R32 GTR that we bought of Mr Tim Skyline Webster late last year and a few weeks after I had my first track day at Brands Hatch becoming instantly hooked. The car was running a standard Nur engine with air filters and a Mines exhaust system. Chassis wise there had been a set of tein coil overs and a roll cage fitted. Braking was taken care of by a set of Stoptechs.

We headed to Brands again in February but the day ended short after loosing oil pressure
After stripping the engine down and seeing the damage (well and truly FUBAR) we re bored the block and fitted a Tomie 2.8 stroker kit and also replaced the N1 turbos with a set of secondhand 25/30's a decision that I am now regretting after one of them letting go :o

A new set of 2860-10's are being fitted tonight. Big thanks to myself for managing not to brake anything whilst stripping the old turbos off  This weekend I will be fitting some adjustable arms to the front of the car and next week should have it set up to be corner weighted.

One thing I did notice at Donnington was the level of Driver skill out on track, so I am sure this year will be a massive learning cure for me :D

Enough chit-chat

7 am at the hotel car park before the opening round

Quality parking in the first shot John :D

Does this mean you are now attending the rest of the rounds or just the odd one or two?

Finished fitting the new turbos this weekend, different drive from the HKS 25/30's they come on boost about 500 rpm later but pull hard all the way to the limiter which has now been reduced to 7500rpm. I also fitted a front mount inter cooler to help keep intake temps down as the stock item was starting to fall to bits

I am hoping to fit the front arms this week and get the geometry set up before the car gets corner weighted, has anyone else corner weighted there car? and was there a difference in overall handling?

They are 2680-10's, I got a cracking deal from Turbo Dynamics. Not too far away from the 25/30's spool up a little later but pull all the way to the limiter

Have you managed to get your car up and running yet Neil ?

you can ask rob that.....;)

would be interested to see the graph with those on :) they sound fairly similar to the 2540s, maybe spool a little better due to newer design though, where is full boost made? and what sort of cams have you got in there? hopefully we will get to blast down the start finish straight at the same time to see whats what :D

think i need to use one of those grinders you were using on your manifolds to do mine.....yours were miles better than my effort!!!

Yeah Rob has the two graphs laid over each other from the 25/30's and the -10's, will post them up when I get them off him. As for a blast down the straights, looking forwards to it, hope you get it all back together soon mate. :)
