Driver History / an introduction to who I am: I’ve driven in Timeattack for the last 2 years in my own Civic Type R and was all set for taking a year out to work on the car ready for the 2011 season when I was approached by Paul West  & Sean O’Neil to drive the TDi North ROTREX supercharged Civic Type R this season. I obviously jumped at the chance and can’t wait to get the car out on track. The car which TDI North have put together is somewhat different to what I’m used to with more than double the power but I’m looking forward to getting the most from it and fingers crossed improving on our previous times.

Time Attack Car spec: Rotrex Supercharger, TTS custom race radiator & front mounted intercooler and induction kit, Hondata K-Pro ECU (mapped by TDI North), Spoon manifolds, JP Exhausts catback  system, Clockwise baffled sump, Mocal oil cooler kit, Siemens injectors, Custom AST Suspension, Hauser weld In rollcage, uprated anti roll bars, uprated suspension bushes, Mugen steering arms, Competition  6 paddle ceramic clutch, Clockwise lightened flywheel, Wavetrac LSD, Stop Tech 4 Pot Brakes with 300mm Discs and DS3000 pads front, Rota SDX alloys & OZ Super Superlegerra alloys with Toyo R888 tyres. The rolling shell is Scott Whitelaw’s ex European record holding ¼ mile drag car matched up with the running gear from TDi North’s 2009 Time Attack FI FWD championship car.

Why Time Attack?: Time attack is quite simply one of the best race series around and is a great platform for developing/showcasing existing and new products, over the last 2 years we’ve had such a great time it just draws you back in again. Plus we’ve got a title to defend which I’m sure will be even more competitve this year and we look forward to the challenges ahead!

Lloyd Leads the Charge at Oulton Park

Gareth Lloyd kicked off the 2010 Time Attack series with a stunning win in his Mitsubishi Evo. Equally stunning was his 1:25.493secs time in the Final, which equated to an incredible average speed of 93.73mph. What's more, it took him just three laps out on the circuit to post that time, which will send worried shivers down the spines of his fellow Pro Class competitors. However, Steve...read more
