Background:
Steve worked at Stephen James in London from 1984 and this gave him the opportunity to fulfil his dream of racing and he has not looked back since.
In 1994 Steve became workshop manager in Malaya Plc's (latterly H.R.Owen) newly opened Buggati Lotus London workshop. Who sponsored him though out the TVR Tuscan challenge series
Guglielmi Motorsport was created in 2002 and continues to grow .
His racing career has spanned over 20 years
- 1982: Acquired 9 points on his driving licence, all for excess speed
- 1983: North Weald Sprint, first in class
- 1984: Sprints, now in top road going class (B8)
- 1987: Sprints, won Class and Category (Road going B8)
- 1988: BMW Car Club Championship, 10 Straight wins and 10 fastest laps
- 1990: Firestone Production Saloon Car Championships with Karl Hopkins, won Class & came second overall at Donnington
- 1995: TVR Tuscan Challenge, finished 5th out of 30 starters
- 1996: TVR Tuscan Challenge, finished in the top 10
- 1997: TVR Tuscan Challenge completed in only half of the season- did not complete in all rounds
- 1997: Lotus at Cadwell Park, in a standard Elise, qualified pole and finished second
- 1998: TVR Tuscan Challenge – Did not complete in all rounds
- 1998: Lotus Racing, with 190 Elise at Pembrey, qualified pole position and won the race
- 1999: TVR Tuscan Challenge, 3 pole positions, won 3 races
- 2001: TVR Tuscan Challenge, won Championship
- 2002: TVR Tuscan Challenge, won Championship
- 2003: Concentrated on building Guglielmi Motorsport
- 2004: BMW CSL Batmobile, Brands Hatch, qualified second fastest and finished second
- 2004: TVR Car Club, qualified pole position, was leading race and then had engine failure driving the TMS 5.0ltr Griffith
- 2005 24 hour Britcar Production S1 Class winners overall and team of the year in association with Mazda UK
- 2006 Tuner Grand Prix overall winner and sports car
- 2007 Third overall in Time Attack – Best result: 2nd overall at Brands Final
