Tegiwa Challenge – Races for Japanese Cars

Sponsored by Tegiwa Imports and organised specifically to mark the occasion of the brand  new Go Japan! show taking place at Brands Hatch on Sunday 13th Septmeber, we are offering owners of Japanese cars two races that will take place alongside the Time Attack sessions. Entries are invited for all makes of Japanese cars that comply to Motorsport UK regulations for racing (section J).

Supplementary Regulations

The Tegiwa Challenge is a one-off open invitation event for Japanese cars that will comprise the following 15-minute sessions:

Qualifying
Race 1
Race 2

Classes will be as follows:

A. Cars under 200bhp per-tonne
B. Cars over 200 and under 250bhp per-tonne
C. Car over 250bhp per-tonne

Qualifying: Finishing positions in the qualifying session will dictate the starting positions for Race 1. The finishing positions in Race 1 will dictate the starting positions for Race 2.

Awards: A trophy and garland will be presented to the overall winning driver. A trophy will be presented to drivers who finish 2nd and 3rd overall. A trophy will be presented to the winning driver in each class.

Eligibility: Drivers must hold a Race Interclub competition licence (or higher status) and be a member of Club Time Attack.

Entries: Entries open following the publication of these supplementary regulations and close at midday on Thursday 11th September.

Drivers must pay the entry fee (£250), complete and submit the official entry form to the Time Attack Championship Coordinator: [email protected] by the closing date.

Tyres: Cars must be fitted with tyres included on lists 1A and 1B of the Motorsport UK Yearbook.

Other supplementary regulations issued and the relevant sections of the Motorsport UK Yearbook will apply.
