Round 6 of the 2026 Time Attack Championship brought competitors back to Brands Hatch for Go Japan, one of the biggest dates on the calendar and the penultimate round of the season.
The familiar Indy circuit produced some very different stories from the Championship’s previous visit in June. Luke Sedzikowski returned to competition and controlled the Pro category, while Ryan Barker delivered when it mattered in Club to secure his second consecutive victory and take the Club 2WD lap record.
PRO — Sedzikowski Controls the Day on His Return
After missing Snetterton, Luke Sedzikowski returned to the Championship in commanding fashion aboard the Tegiwa Racing Honda NSX.
Sedzikowski established himself at the top of the timesheets in Warm Up and remained there throughout the day. A 46.673 put him ahead of Andrew Gallacher in Attack 1 before he improved to 46.232 in Attack 2, his quickest lap of the event.
Super Attack brought another strong performance. Sedzikowski recorded a 46.318 to secure the Pro victory, with Gallacher second on 47.350 and Josh Barrett third with a 47.464.
Club Pro provided a much tighter conclusion. Aleksandr Volkov and Dean Taylor headed into Super Attack separated by little over half a second on their best Attack 2 times, but both found more pace in the final session.
Taylor produced a 48.842, only for Volkov to respond with a 48.694, taking the Club Pro victory by just 0.148 seconds and establishing a new Club Pro lap record in the process.
👉 Key takeaway: Sedzikowski returned to competition and immediately re-established himself at the front, while Volkov saved his best lap of the day for Super Attack to secure Club Pro honours and a new class record.
CLUB CLASS — Barker Delivers When It Matters Again
For much of the day, Vincent Fan appeared to have regained control of Club.
Fan topped Warm Up before leading both Attack sessions in the Toyota GR Supra. His pace improved from 50.847 in Attack 1 to 50.779 in Attack 2, establishing a new Club 2WD lap record. Behind him, Luke Capehorn and Ryan Barker remained firmly in contention, with Barker third in Attack 2 on 51.240.
But once again, Super Attack changed the picture.
Barker produced his fastest lap of the entire day when it mattered most. A 50.655 in the K24-powered Renault Megane moved him ahead of Fan’s earlier benchmark and established another new Club 2WD lap record.
Capehorn also found more pace, recording a 50.867 to take second, while Fan’s 50.919 left him third in the final session. Just 0.264 seconds covered the leading three.
For Barker, it completed back-to-back victories following his breakthrough at Snetterton and confirmed a significant shift in the Club battle after Fan had opened the season with four consecutive wins.

CLUBMAN / POCKET ROCKET / CLASSIC & RETRO — Riley Makes It Six from Six
Dean Riley continued his remarkable run in Classic & Retro, leading the combined group throughout the day in the Mickeytoones Racing Vauxhall VX220.
Riley began Warm Up with a 51.691 before immediately moving into record territory. His 51.250 in Attack 1 established a new Classic & Retro benchmark, which he lowered again to 51.174 in Attack 2.
There was still more to come.
A 50.813 in Super Attack put Riley comfortably quickest across the combined session and lowered the Classic & Retro lap record for a third time during the day. More importantly, it secured his sixth class victory from six rounds and maintained his perfect record heading into the season finale.
Clubman honours went to Clive Hopwell in the MMT Performance Volkswagen Golf R, while David Dyson took Clubman+ in the Porsche 991.2 T.
Pocket Rocket Naturally Aspirated produced one of the closest finishes of the entire event. Championship leader Michael Hume was sidelined by engine trouble after Warm Up, leaving Luke Krassismenou and Cameron Allflatt to contest the final session. Krassismenou produced a 53.706 in the Honda Civic EP3, with Allflatt just 0.015 seconds behind on 53.721. It gave Krassismenou his second consecutive class victory following his breakthrough at Snetterton.
Gary Papworth also maintained his perfect run in Pocket Rocket Forced Induction. Joe Bullen had set the pace in both Attack sessions, but Papworth came through in Super Attack with a 52.893 to claim his sixth class victory from six rounds in the Norfolk Mini Racing Cooper S.
👉 Key takeaway: Riley and Papworth extended their perfect class records to six wins from six, while Krassismenou emerged from an incredibly close Pocket Rocket NA contest with his second consecutive victory.
Unsung Hero
Away from the timesheets, there was some impressive teamwork in the paddock when Colin Dorward’s Mitsubishi Evo needed a replacement clutch line.
The solution came from an unlikely source. Dorward’s crew borrowed the required line from commentator Suzy’s Evo, fitted it to the Time Attack car for the afternoon and then returned and refitted it to Suzy’s car in time for the journey home.

The 2026 Time Attack Championship reaches its conclusion at Cadwell Park on 20th September for Round 7 as part of Modified Live.
With just one round remaining, attention now turns to the final championship points of the season. Cadwell Park brings competitors back to the circuit where the 2026 campaign began in May — this time with the Championship titles and final standings to be decided.
