Pre-season Test and Shakedown Entries Open

AN INVITATION

If you are intending to join us this year – either as a full championship contender, a single round entry or Run What You Brung competitor – and would like to get your car on track before the season gets underway, we invite you to join us at our pre-season test and shakedown day:

Date: Tuesday 19th March 2019
Venue: Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire

This exclusive event has proved extremely popular for the past three years and has provided a great opportunity for drivers and teams to get ahead of the game by taking to the on track in advance of the first round, which also takes place at Cadwell.

The shakedown day is free-of-charge to all drivers who have signed-up and paid for championship entry by that date, either for a full-season or a single round entry for any one of the seven rounds.

Anyone who hasn’t paid or just wants to come and see what Time Attack is all about is also welcome, but there will be a charge of £120 (inc. VAT) for the day – a figure that represents a significant discount on usual track or test day prices.
Once again, Pirelli will be on hand with a tyre truck and will also be offering technical support. However, you don’t have to run Pirelli tyres on the day if you don’t want to.

PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to pre-order tyres before the test, you will need to pay for them before the day and will be able to collect them and have them fitted when you get there. Please contact Protyre: 01782 411001

Also on hand will be our Chief Scrutineer, so if you have any queries about the specification of your car, you can get things checked out. We are aiming to send out the championship sticker packs in advance to those of you who are coming.
If you want someone else to drive your car, that’s fine, but please let us know. You may also use a different vehicle if your competition car isn’t ready.

During the course of the day we will be holding an informal drivers/teams meeting, when we will tell you more about our plans for the year ahead and where you will have the chance find to raise any questions you have about the championship.

You can enter the event by downloading the entry form.

Timing

Because of the licencing requirement for timing, like last year, we will be running non-timed sessions for non-race licence holding competitors and two separate timed sessions (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) for those that hold a 2019 MSA Race National B (or higher grade) licence. In both cases, an open pit lane system will apply.

If you don’t hold a licence at this level, then you will not be able to time your laps during the test. This is an MSA and track regulation.

If you wish to utilise the timing facility, you will be required to fit a TSL transponder (as used for Time Attack events). TSL will then provide you with a link to the live timing. Sector analysis will be emailed to those drivers at the end of the day. A speed trap will be located on the Start/Finish straight.

Timing must be booked via us in advance (no later than four days before the event), as we will be bringing the transponders with us. There will be a charge of £45: £15 hire, £15 set-up for the timing link from TSL and a £15 deposit that’s returned when you hand the transponder back at the end of the day (as per the normal Time Attack arrangement). This must be paid in cash on the day. Please note that if you book a transponder and don’t use it, you will still be charged £30.

To enter, please fill in and return the entry form ASAP.
