Championship Leaders Tighten Their Grip at Oulton Park

9th July 2026

Round 4 of the 2026 Time Attack Championship took competitors to Oulton Park as part of Tunerfest North, where one of the UK’s fastest and most demanding circuits rewarded commitment, confidence and precision in equal measure.

Across the day, familiar frontrunners continued to strengthen their championship campaigns, while close battles unfolded throughout the field. Oulton Park also witnessed a series of new class benchmarks as drivers extracted more pace from both their machinery and the challenging International circuit.

PRO — Sedzikowski Untouchable as Battle Rages Behind

Luke Sedzikowski delivered one of the most commanding performances of the season, leading every competitive session aboard the Tegiwa Racing Honda NSX.

From the opening Attack session, Sedzikowski established a clear advantage over the rest of the Pro field, setting the benchmark by more than four seconds before repeating the feat in Attack 2 and completing a clean sweep in Super Attack. His pace around Oulton Park also established new Pro and Pro 2WD circuit benchmarks.
While Sedzikowski enjoyed clear air at the front, the battle behind proved far closer.

Attack 2 saw Andrew Barbour edge Josh Barrett by just 0.166 seconds in the fight for third, before Super Attack produced another tightly contested contest as Barbour, Barrett and Andrew Gallacher were covered by less than a second.

In Club Pro, Aleksandr Volkov returned to winning form after Brands Hatch, consistently leading the class throughout the day in the Nissan GT-R. His Super Attack performance also established a new Club Pro benchmark for the Oulton Park International circuit.
👉 Key takeaway: Sedzikowski was in a class of his own, while the fight behind remained one of the closest contests of the day.

CLUB CLASS — Fan Makes It Four From Four

Vincent Fan’s remarkable start to the season continued as the Toyota GR Supra remained unbeaten through four rounds of the championship.

Fan set the pace from the opening warm-up before comfortably topping both Attack sessions, repeatedly finding more than two seconds over his nearest challengers around the 2.69-mile circuit.
Behind him, however, the battle for the remaining podium positions intensified.

Ryan Barker, Luke Capehorn and Mike Butler traded places throughout the timed sessions, with only hundredths of a second separating the trio in Attack 2.

Super Attack then took an unexpected turn when a red flag curtailed the session, leaving competitors with limited opportunities to complete representative laps. As the session resumed, Barker produced a late improvement to secure second place, narrowly ahead of Capehorn, while Neil Robson and Andrew Kime remained firmly in contention throughout the afternoon.

Fan’s Attack 1 performance also established a new Club 2WD benchmark around Oulton Park International, further underlining his impressive start to the championship.

Away from the timesheets, one of the paddock stories belonged to Radu Stan. After suffering a cracked supercharger manifold on his home-built Mazda RX-8, an impromptu repair with help from fellow competitor Andrew Gallacher kept the car circulating and ensured his weekend continued.

👉 Key takeaway: Four rounds, four victories — but the competition behind Fan continues to grow stronger with every event.

CLUBMAN / POCKET ROCKET / CLASSIC & RETRO — Dyson Peaks at the Perfect Time

One of the closest contests of the weekend unfolded in Clubman, where Clive Hopwell and David Dyson traded the advantage throughout the day.

Hopwell struck first by topping Attack 1 before edging Dyson by just 0.026 seconds in Attack 2. But when Super Attack arrived, Dyson produced the decisive lap of the weekend, guiding the Ninemeister Porsche GT to the quickest Clubman time and establishing a new class benchmark around Oulton Park International.
Dean Riley once again demonstrated his consistency in Classic & Retro. The Vauxhall VX220 remained at the sharp end throughout the event, securing another class victory and adding another Oulton Park benchmark to an already impressive season.

Pocket Rocket Naturally Aspirated saw Michael Hume continue his excellent run of form in the Honda-powered Renault Clio 182, while Gary Papworth claimed another Pocket Rocket Forced Induction victory in the Norfolk Mini Racing Cooper S. Both drivers also lowered the established class benchmarks around the International circuit.

👉 Key takeaway: Dyson timed his charge to perfection, while Riley, Hume and Papworth continued to build outstandingly consistent seasons.
