Round 5 of the 2026 Time Attack Championship took competitors to the Snetterton 300 circuit as part of Modified Live, where long straights, high-speed sections and the technical infield created a demanding test across the Time Attack field.
The day produced contrasting stories at the front. Colin Dorward controlled the Pro category from start to finish, while Club delivered one of the biggest changes of the season as Vincent Fan’s run of Super Attack victories came to an end and Ryan Barker seized his opportunity.
PRO — Dorward Sets the Pace from Start to Finish
Colin Dorward delivered a commanding performance aboard the G-R Performance Track Formula Evo, topping every session across the day to claim his second Pro victory of the season.
The closest challenge came early. Bradley John put his Riverside Racing Mitsubishi Evo IX just 0.016 seconds behind Dorward in Attack 1, producing one of the smallest margins of the event.
Dorward remained at the top in Attack 2 before completing the job in Super Attack with a 1:53.838. Josh Barrett found his best pace of the day when it mattered most to take second in the Caterham 620R, 1.206 seconds behind, with Andrew Gallacher completing the Pro top three.
In Club Pro, Aleksandr Volkov continued his strong campaign in the Nissan GT-R. Volkov led the class through each timed session and established a new Club Pro lap record of 1:56.413 during Attack 2.
👉 Key takeaway: Dorward never surrendered the top spot, converting early pressure into a controlled second Pro victory of the season.
CLUB CLASS — Barker Capitalises as Fan’s Run is Interrupted
Club produced the biggest change to the established order.
Championship leader Vincent Fan initially looked on course to continue his run of victories, topping both Attack sessions in the Toyota GR Supra. His 2:02.452 in Attack 1 also established a new Club 2WD lap record around the Snetterton 300 circuit.
Behind him, Ryan Barker and Luke Capehorn continued to apply pressure. Barker moved into second in Attack 2 with a 2:04.101, setting up an intriguing final-session contest.
Super Attack then changed everything.
Fan completed only one lap and failed to register a timed lap, leaving the final session wide open. Barker responded with a 2:03.119 in the K24-powered Renault Megane to secure the class victory, 0.631 seconds clear of Capehorn, with Andrew Kime third in the Citroën Saxo.
It brought Fan’s run of four consecutive victories to an end and gave Barker the breakthrough result after repeatedly featuring among the leading Club contenders throughout the season.
👉 Key takeaway: Fan still produced the fastest Club lap of the day, but when Super Attack opened up, Barker was there to take full advantage.
CLUBMAN / POCKET ROCKET / CLASSIC & RETRO — Riley Leads as Krassismenou Fights Back
Dean Riley delivered another impressive performance in Classic & Retro, progressively finding pace as the day unfolded in the Mickeytoones Racing Vauxhall VX220.
After a 2:05.320 in Attack 1, Riley improved to 2:04.976 in Attack 2 before producing his best lap in Super Attack. A 2:03.820 put him quickest across the entire combined session and established a new Classic & Retro lap record.
Clubman remained closely contested, with David Dyson taking the class result ahead of Clive Hopwell, the pair separated by just 0.090 seconds in Super Attack.
One of the standout paddock stories, however, came from Pocket Rocket Naturally Aspirated.
Luke Krassismenou and his team were forced into a gearbox change on the Honda Civic EP3 between Warm Up and Attack 1. Their work kept the car in the event, and Krassismenou steadily moved into contention before producing a 2:10.870 in Super Attack to take his first class victory and establish a new Pocket Rocket NA lap record.
Gary Papworth continued his strong season in Pocket Rocket Forced Induction. The Norfolk Mini Racing Cooper S led the class through the timed sessions and saved its quickest lap for Super Attack, recording a 2:07.331 to take another victory and lower the Pocket Rocket FI lap record.
👉 Key takeaway: Riley and Papworth continued their impressive form, while Krassismenou turned a major morning setback into a first class victory and new benchmark.

Next Stop: Brands Hatch
The 2026 Time Attack Championship returns to Brands Hatch on 31st August for Round 6 as part of GoJapan.
With Dorward adding another Pro victory, Barker breaking through in Club and the competition continuing to tighten across the classes, the championship heads back to the Brands Hatch Indy circuit with the season entering its decisive stages.
