2026 CHAMPIONSHIP CONFIRMATIONS & AWARDS PRESENTATION

With the final round of the 2026 Time Attack Championship taking place at Cadwell Park this weekend, we wanted to give everyone an update on how the final Championship positions and this year’s awards will be confirmed.

CHAMPIONSHIP POSITIONS

Cadwell Park will decide the final on-track results of the 2026 Championship, but we will not formally declare our Champions immediately following the final round.

There are a couple of important reasons for this.

We currently have the possibility of tied positions on nett Championship points in some classes. Where this happens, the tie-break process set out in the Championship Regulations will need to be applied using results from across the season.

We also need to allow the normal post-event process to be completed and ensure that all results are final, including the conclusion of any judicial, protest or appeal matters that could affect Championship points.

As we have seen during this season, there can occasionally be circumstances where provisional points require adjustment following an event. We therefore want to make absolutely certain that the final Championship positions are correct before declaring them.

As has been stated throughout the season on our Championship standings:

“All championship points and standings remain provisional until declared final by the Organisers. Any tied championship positions will be resolved in accordance with the Championship Regulations following the final round of the season.”

Our intention is simply to make sure that when we announce our 2026 Champions, those results are complete and final.

We will work through this as quickly as possible following Cadwell Park and will confirm and celebrate our Champions online once the final standings have been established.

2026 CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS PRESENTATION

We’re doing something a little different with our Championship Awards Presentation this year.

We are planning a filmed 2026 Championship Awards Presentation, bringing together the story of the season and giving our Champions and award winners the recognition they deserve.

The programme will feature a series of presenters and interviews, footage and highlights from throughout the 2026 season, award presentations and acceptance pieces from our Champions. It will also give our Champions the opportunity to recognise and thank their own sponsors, partners and supporters who have helped make their season possible, alongside the Championship’s sponsors and partners who have supported us throughout 2026.

The finished programme will then be edited and released online later in the year.

Importantly, this does not mean waiting until then to find out who our Champions are. Final Championship positions will be confirmed and announced online as soon as the post-Cadwell process is complete.

The Awards Presentation later in the year will be our opportunity to properly celebrate those achievements, look back at the season and recognise the people who have made 2026 what it has been.

We’ll share more details about the Awards Presentation, including arrangements for those involved, following the conclusion of the Championship.

For now, our focus is on a great final weekend at Cadwell Park and bringing the 2026 Time Attack Championship to a fitting conclusion.

Cheers,

Paul
