Round 1
Cadwell Park

04/05/2026

The 2026 Time Attack Championship gets underway at Cadwell Park on Monday 4 May, as Round 1 launches the new season within the Modified Live event.

After months of preparation and development, teams return ready to put their winter work to the test. The stopwatch resets, and the championship fight begins.

Cadwell Park provides a fitting stage for the opener. Its narrow layout, elevation changes and iconic Mountain section demand precision and commitment – a proper driver’s circuit and an early benchmark for the season ahead.

The Championship

Time Attack is focused on one objective: setting the fastest lap.

There’s no wheel-to-wheel racing. Each driver competes against the clock, pushing to extract the maximum from car and circuit within their class.

Across the day, competitors take part in multiple timed sessions, building towards the Super Attack Final where the quickest laps of the event are set.

The 2026 championship features a broad range of classes, from lightly modified road-based cars to highly developed time attack machines:

  • Clubman & Clubman+
  • Pocket Rocket
  • Club Challenge
  • Club Sport
  • Club Pro
  • Pro
  • Invitation
  • Classic & Retro

On Track

The Time Attack Championship will be on track four times, spread throughout the day:

  • Warm-Up
  • Attack 1
  • Attack 2
  • Super Attack

Each session allows drivers to refine setup and improve lap times, building towards the Super Attack where the fastest laps of the day are delivered.

Between track sessions, spectators can explore the paddock, get up close to the cars and speak with the drivers and teams as they prepare for their next run.

Check the official event timetable for full session timings.

Round 1 – The Season Starts Here

An opening round always carries added weight. Early results establish momentum and provide the first clear indication of how the season may unfold.

For spectators, it’s the first opportunity to see the full 2026 grid in action – a paddock of purpose-built performance cars pushing hard around one of the UK’s most technical circuits.

Whether you’re looking to compete or experience the action trackside, Round 1 at Cadwell Park marks the beginning of the 2026 campaign.
