BMMC Charity donation is gaining momentum as we head past the half way point in the season.
Earlier this year we announced that the beneficiary of the Club Time Attack charity initiative would be the BMMC Marshals Club which can be read here
Club Time Attack is the organising club of Time Attack, Racing Hondas and Drift Pro Championships.
As of today ( 28th August ) we are pleased to provide an update of progress as follows:
- To date we have raised £5200 ( with three events remaining )
- We have provided at no charge, 250x all weather marshals rucksacks and sew on patches via each race meeting to all attending marshals at our meetings – we will continue to provide them
- We have provided breakfast and lunch packs for all marshals at our meetings
We continue to raise funds and provide the free equipment – with Brands Knockhill and Snetterton still to come on our calendar
Andy Barnes, Chairman of Club Time Attack comments:
On behalf of our club, its members and supporters I am delighted to provide such a positive update to our initiative. I am confident that we will build further on the amount and that we will be in a position to welcome representatives from BMMC to our awards gala dinner on 1st November where we shall present the cheque for the final amount.
I am further overjoyed with the welcoming response to our specially designed and manufacturered all-weather marshals rucksack.
Thank you to the BMMC and every marshal that supports us, our meetings and drivers and reiterate our firm commitment to give something back to the marshals community beyond words of thanks.’
Each of our rucksacks plays on the Orange Army wording using the hashtag #armyorange
