Club Pro is the category stepping stone between our Club and Pro classes – the point at which cars become much more serious, heading for serious performance and lap time potential.
Split into two sub-classes for two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive cars . Club Pro cars have to be built to much more strict regulations, which means they must comply with certain higher level safety rules.
Consequently, safety cages, a plumbed in extinguisher system, external ignition cut-off switch and in-date seats and five-point harness are required unlike the Club classes below.
Club Pro Class cars must be based on production models and are in essence Pro Class cars, but without the option of using slick tyres, instead retaining Yokohama A052 semi slicks. An increased level of aero over to that of Club Class cars begins here.
On the driver side, you’ll need the correct personal safety kit such as helmet, race suit, gloves and boots and you’ll need to apply for your Motorsport UK licence (no ARDS test required). Before you compete, your car will be scrutineered to confirm it meets the safety requirements and the relevant Club Pro class rules. All of the detail you’ll need — including eligibility, required items, and what modifications are permitted — is set out in the official regulations linked lower down this page, and our team is always on hand if you’d like a steer, especially if it’s your first time in a competitive setting.
You can enter as a one‑off to see how you get on (SRE — Single Round Entry), or register for the full season and chase championship points and podium celebrations. The only tyre requirement to note is that if you plan to score points and be eligible for lap records, you’ll need to run the championship control tyre: the Yokohama A052, otherwise you can use your existing road tyres.
This class is for serious car builds where tuning house-built cars begin to explore high levels of power and aero than a generic club racing car – by the time you get to this class you have a serious build capable of impressive lap times.
The class is very competitive and gives an introduction into Pro class Time Attack. A variety of cars compete each year, making the progressive step from Club to Pro in a manageable chunk. If your car has more modifications than this class allows, i.e. you want to use slicks and unlimited aero, please check our Pro and Invitation classes.
All competitors take part in four 15-minute (minimum) on-track sessions within their class: Warm-Up, Attack 1, Attack 2 and Super Attack.
This format gives drivers multiple opportunities to refine setup and push for their quickest lap of the event, building towards the decisive Super Attack session.
Across the season, competitors perform in front of tens of thousands of spectators as the championship headlines on-track at major automotive events including Modified Live, Tunerfest, JDM Jam, GO Japan and the Obsession Car Show, providing a fantastic platform to showcase driving ability, engineering expertise and partner brands.
If you’re looking for competitive, accessible motorsport with plenty of track time, strong exposure and an unforgettable season of racing, the Time Attack Championship is the perfect place to compete.
